Faces of Sarcoidosis

Posted on February 9, 2011 by

In January 15th 2011 I received an email that informed me about their 2011 K.I.S.S. (Kick In to Stop Sarcoidosis) event at the Chicago Illuminating Company in Chicago, Illinois on February 5th 2011 at 7pm.

Unfortunately I was not able to attend this K.I.S.S. In all fairness I was able to be there in a way which would not be accomplished a couple of years ago.

The Foundation for Sarcoisosis Research produced a video with submissions from individuals who joined the Stop Sarcoidosis Group on Inspire.com. I was one of the faces they chose to use in this endeavor as well as a quote from my email. I did not think I would be included because I got my photo and submission just under the wire, just under the wire (My Submission occurs at 2:10 minutes into the wonderingly produced HD video – My photo is at the 2:28 minute mark – I am the guy in the middle.).

The video was debuted at the gala even Saturday night February 7th 2011 and the video was uploaded to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research on Tuesday February 9, 2011.

I was so proud and so elated by this video I started to tear up – eyes watered – ok people I cried for goodness sake. And took a deep breath something I hadn’t done in a long while . . .with out the need to cough that is.

Here’s a link to the Video

Are you going to make another video of the faces of Sarcoidosis…

The Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research put together the video. And what a wonderful video it was. I am not sure if they are going to put another one together.
